English 425: Transnational Feminisms and Contemporary Narratives

Looking for a spring course? Interested in any of the following: Global Sisterhood? Transnational Sisterhood? Divided Sisterhood?

There are multiple feminisms around the world and many of their struggles are expressed transnationally. This course examines transnational feminist frameworks, focusing on theoretical debates and women’s movements. Through our course readings, which include contemporary fiction, poetry, and non-fiction, students will explore the complexities of women’s concerns and experiences—of struggle and solidarity—in both local and transnational contexts.

This course meets the Modern to Contemporary Literature Requirement. Offered through St. Jerome’s.
