John Ralston Saul to speak at UW

Prominent Canadian novelist and philosopher John Ralston Saul is coming to campus. Maybe you’ve read his novel The Paradise Eater, winner of Italy’s Premio Letterario Internazionale? Or his novel Dark Diversions, featuring “secret lovers, exiled princesses, death by veganism and religious heresies”? Or maybe you didn’t know he was a novelist, and you’re interested in his newest non-fiction book, The Comeback?

This is a public event that is happening on January 20th at 7:30pm in the Hagey Hall Humanities Theatre. John Ralston Saul will be discussing his book, The Comeback, which focuses on the rise of Aboriginal people to a position of power and influence in spite of the difficulties they faced in Canada. Knowing the past will allow us to better understand the present and help create a better future.

Following the discussion will be a book signing.

Please register to attend the event online.
