“Creative Practice as Urban Research”
Marshall McLuhan and the Explorations Group experimented with creative forms of urban and media research in Toronto of the 1950s. How can these earlier methodologies inform new approaches to urban research? The talk will examine new kinds of art intervention which help to illuminate the new spatial experiences of the city.
Tuesday, March 18th, 3pm-5:50, Hagey Hall 138.
And if this talk really interests you, can I also suggest checking out–if you haven’t already–Waterloo English’s Critical Media Lab for more amazing events?
